Why It Rains
Some might call the creature called Ko a god. But Ko’s opinion of the world of humans is nothing but indifference. Humans are among the only creatures in the world who kill one another for the sake of it, and a life ended in such circumstances is what Ko finds chance to pluck tethers so that they may weave a nest in the clouds.
Alas, none have ever seen Ko. None could ever tell you what Ko looks like. But people have certainly felt its eyes peering at them, because from time to time, various things cause them to catch Ko’s attention. Among these, include seven figures:
- A humble executioner with a strange proposal
- A crossdressing actor struggling to find purpose
- A cunning sister seeking to erase her past
- A book-loving widow with newfound freedom
- A quiet tailor with a basement
- A foolish thief hoping for a house
- A despairing wife who must make a choice
All who unknowingly find their lives intertwined with the execution of an alleged serial killer.

A Tale of a Complicated Friendship
Once upon a time, there was a town next to a forest in the Holy Roman Empire plagued by elves. The prince of the land happened to meet a young man in this forest. The young man tried to warn him of their sinister ways. The prince decided he and the man were friends.
But there is no longer a town next to a forest in the Holy Roman Empire plagued by elves. Perhaps there never was. Perhaps the prince never went to the forest in search for the meaning behind his mother’s final words on her death bed. Perhaps he never went to the town in his father’s pressure to find a wife. Perhaps the prince and the man never were friends to begin with.
All that can really be said to be true was that there was more to the man’s story than what he told the prince, and there is no longer a town next to a forest in the Holy Roman Empire plagued by elves.
